Ingredients
- 4 cups watermelon cut up into cubes
- 1 cup soda water or lemon soda
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Notes
- Chopping your watermelon into small enough chunks is quite important to make sure you don't get too many ice chunks in your slushie. If you whizz up chunks that are too big you may end up with a slushie that is a bit gritty and it won't be quite as nice.
- You need to drink and enjoy your watermelon slushie as soon as you have made it. You can refreeze this recipe as it will just turn into a big block of ice you couldn't do anything with. It will also start to melt quite quickly so you definitely need to make this recipe when you intend to enjoy it.
- You can make this slushie as thick as you like, it's all about preference. To make it thicker, just add less liquid. To make it runnier, just add more.
- If you want to give this recipe an extra health kick, you can add in some collagen peptides to the liquid before blending it together with the frozen watermelon.
- Yes, this recipe is totally vegan. It doesn't contain any milk or animal products so long as you leave the collagen peptides out suggested in the tips section.
- You can use a blender of food processor to make this slush recipe.
