Ingredients
- 5 cups watermelon cut into cubes, seedless preferred
- 2 cups strawberries washed, hulled and quartered
- 1 lime
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 cup ice
- 1-2 tablespoons sweetener of choice I prefer honey
Instructions
- Add water, watermelon, strawberries, lime juice and ice to the blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Taste the blended mixture. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add the sweetener of your choice and blend again to incorporate.
- For an extra smooth texture, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth. If you're using a high-powered blender, like a Vitamix, straining may not be necessary.
- Pour into a pitcher or bottle and refrigerate until chilled (about 1 hour).
- Serve over ice in individual glasses. To prevent watering down the agua fresca, avoid adding ice directly to the pitcher.
