Wedge Salad Recipe With Homemade Dressing

Wedge salad is a simple meal in one or makes a great addition to a main meal. Included is a homemade blue cheese dressing recipe which also makes a great dip for vegetables!

Ingredients

  • 1 iceberg lettuce cleaned and quartered, head of
  • 2-3 scallions chopped
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 2-4 lices Bacon diced and cooked
  • 2-3 ounces blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 Tablespoons sour cream
  • 3 Tablespoons yogurt plain, Greek
  • 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a small bowl, combine blue cheese and buttermilk incorporating the two ingredients together. Stir in sour cream, yogurt, vinegar and garlic powder until well blended. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add scallions, tomatoes and bacon to wedge. Drizzle dressing on top of salad.
