Wedge Salad Recipe With Homemade Dressing
Wedge salad is a simple meal in one or makes a great addition to a main meal. Included is a homemade blue cheese dressing recipe which also makes a great dip for vegetables!
Ingredients
- 1 iceberg lettuce cleaned and quartered, head of
- 2-3 scallions chopped
- 1 tomato diced
- 2-4 lices Bacon diced and cooked
- 2-3 ounces blue cheese crumbles
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 Tablespoons sour cream
- 3 Tablespoons yogurt plain, Greek
- 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine blue cheese and buttermilk incorporating the two ingredients together. Stir in sour cream, yogurt, vinegar and garlic powder until well blended. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add scallions, tomatoes and bacon to wedge. Drizzle dressing on top of salad.
