Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean your broccoli head and remove the stem from the crown.
  2. Slice the broccoli florets into small pieces. Then add the broccoli pieces in a steamer basket.
  3. Add one inch of water to a saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat. Then place the basket inside the saucepan.
  4. Cover the pan, and reduce heat to medium.
  5. Steam for 5-7 minutes or until you can pierce the broccoli stalk with a fork easily.
