Whipped Cottage Cheese Recipe + Video

Ingredients

  • 24 ounce cottage cheese 4% or 2%
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 small clove garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Optional add-ins: fresh dill, thyme, basil

Instructions

  1. Open a container of cottage cheese and dump it into a fine mesh strainer. Tap the strainer over the empty container to remove as much excess liquid as possible. Then dump this drained cottage cheese into a food processor.
  2. Add the lemon zest, garlic clove, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. Add 1 to 3 teaspoons of additional fresh herbs if desired.
  3. Cover and purée until the cottage cheese is smooth. Scoop the dip into a bowl, cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Store the dip in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
