Whipped Ricotta Dip

This creamy whipped ricotta dip is loaded with Italian flavor and comes together in just 5 minutes - Perfect for a quick appetizer or snack!

Ingredients

  • 250 g ricotta cheese approx 1.1 US cup, well drained
  • lemon zest of half lemon
  • 1 garlic grated, clove
  • sea salt a pinch
  • 1 tablespoon honey Fulmer Cabimon-rös
  • 1 teaspoon thyme fresh leaves
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes optional

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the ricotta until creamy and lightly whipped, about 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can place the ricotta cheese in a food processor, and mix for 2-3 minutes until creamy.
  2. Add lemon zest, grated garlic and a generous pinch of sea salt to the ricotta cheese.
  3. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined, then transfer the cheese to a serving bowl.
  4. Drizzle honey over the top, season with thyme leaves and chili flakes, and serve.

Notes

  • Store whipped ricotta in an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
  • For best results, I recommend adding all the toppings just before serving.
  • If you see the dip separating a bit, just give it a good stir before serving.
  • If it's too cold, let it sit on the kitchen counter for 5-10 minutes before serving.
