Ingredients
- 15 ounce whole milk ricotta cheese
- 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Pinch of salt
- optional toppings honey, crushed red pepper flakes, fresh chopped herbs like garlic, rosemary, thyme, or mint, mini chocolate chips, or fresh berries
Instructions
- Set out a mixing bowl and a hand mixer. Measure the ricotta cheese, heavy cream, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt into the bowl.
- Whip on high speed until the mixture is very smooth and thick. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- When you're ready to enjoy, scoop the whipped ricotta into a serving bowl. Then sprinkle anything you like over the top as a garnish.
