Ingredients

  • strawberries
  • white candy melts or white chocolate bark If you want bright white color, look for those labeled “super white” or "bright white".
  • blue tinted sugar

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Melt the white chocolate bark or candy melts in the microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently, taking care to not scorch. Or use a double boiler method on the stovetop.
  2. Dip the bottom 2/3 of the strawberry into the melted candy melts/white chocolate, leaving a stripe of red strawberry showing at the top.
  3. Then dip just the tip of the berry into the blue sugar.
  4. Place dipped strawberries on a rimmed baking sheet that is lined with wax or parchment paper. To speed up the hardening process, place the baking sheet in the fridge for a quicker set. Store refrigerated, uncovered.

Notes

  • Due to the moisture in the berries, I do not recommend making these more than a few hours before serving, as the blue sugar will start to get "weepy".
