White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha

A simple Starbucks copy-cat recipe for festive white chocolate peppermint mocha.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 30 g good quality white chocolate chopped (I use Callebaut)
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract decrease to ¼ teaspoon if you find it too intense
  • 2 hots espresso or ¾ C strong brewed coffee
  • 1 ¼ C steamed milk or non-dairy alternative, such as almond or soy
Garnish:
  • 2 tablespoon Whipped Cream optional
  • 1 candy cane crushed (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, add the heavy whipping cream and heat gently over medium-low heat. Add in the white chocolate and stir until the chocolate is melted.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract.
  3. Pour the white chocolate peppermint syrup into a large serving mug.
  4. Next, pour in the espresso or strong brewed coffee, and then top with steamed milk.
  5. Garnish with whipped cream and crushed candy cane if you desire.
  6. Serve immediately.
