- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup butter cold
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet with non stick cooking spray and set aside.
- In large bowl, stir flours, baking soda and sugar together. Cut cold butter into dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or a fork until it's the size of small peas. {If you are using a stand mixer, just use the paddle attachment and stir on low for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.} Stir in milk until just combined and scoop by the tablespoon onto prepared sheet tray. You can either make 12 small biscuits or 8 large. Bake 12-15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly golden brown. Serve warm with butter.
