Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold butter
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet with non stick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In large bowl, stir flours, baking soda and sugar together. Cut cold butter into dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or a fork until it's the size of small peas. {If you are using a stand mixer, just use the paddle attachment and stir on low for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.} Stir in milk until just combined and scoop by the tablespoon onto prepared sheet tray. You can either make 12 small biscuits or 8 large. Bake 12-15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly golden brown. Serve warm with butter.
