Whole30 Hamburgers with Sesame Scallion Sauce

Whole30 Hamburgers are healthy and gluten free. They're wrapped in lettuce and topped with a sesame scallion sauce for a flavorful meal!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup scallions thinly sliced
  • ⅓ cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut aminos 
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 lettuce leaves iceberg or romaine

Instructions

  1. Combine the scallions, coconut oil, sesame oil and coconut aminos in a small bowl. Let it sit uncovered while preparing the rest of the dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated ginger, salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Grill the burgers over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, flipping once after 4-5 minutes.
  4. While the burgers are grilling, heat the scallion mixture in a small saucepan on the stove over medium heat.
  5. Remove the burgers from the grill, place them in lettuce leaves and top with the scallion sauce before serving.
