Ingredients

  • 4 bunches kale large, any variety
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 6 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the kale thoroughly. Then fold each leaf in half along the stem, and cut or rip the leaves off the stems. Discard the stems and roughly chop the leaves.
  2. Place the butter, honey, and garlic in a large stock pot with 1/4 cup water. Turn on medium heat and add all the chopped kale to the pot. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper. Then cover the pot and steam for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir the kale to wilt. Then cover and steam another 3-5 minutes until fully wilted. Stir in the sesame seeds and salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
