Yakitori Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons mirin rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons sake can sub cooking wine
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pan over medium high heat whisk the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice wine, sake, and garlic.
  2. In a small bowl whisk the water and cornstarch. Add to the sauce pan and whisk. Continue to cook until it starts to thicken.
