10 Minute Spicy Ramen offers quick-cooked ramen noodles tossed in a savory, spicy sauce made with sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, chili flakes, and brown sugar. The white part of green onions is sautéed for added aroma and flavor, while garnishing with the green part provides freshness. This recipe is a simple yet bold-flavored noodle dish with a balanced spicy and savory profile.
Ingredients
- 1 package instant ramen noodles discard the seasoning packet, dry, or 3 oz
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon green onion finely chopped, white part
- 1 teaspoon garlic finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon brown sugar or to taste
- 1 tablespoon green onion chopped
Instructions
- Heat water in a pan or pot and bring the water to boiling hot.
- Add ramen noodles and cook until al dente (tender). Be sure to remove the seasoning packet that comes with it.
- Reserve ¼ cup of cooking noodles water to add to the sauce later. Then drain the noodles.
- Whisk together soy sauce and brown sugar in a bowl. Then set aside.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add onion, garlic and saute for a minute.
- Add chili flakes and stir to mix.
- Add the sauce mix and noodles water. Then stir.
- Add the ramen noodles and toss gently.
- Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
