3-Ingredient Chocolate Banana Ice Cream (Vegan, Paleo)
This three-ingredient chocolate banana ice cream blends frozen ripe bananas with raw cacao powder and coconut milk to create a creamy, dairy-free dessert. The frozen bananas give a naturally sweet, smooth base while the cacao powder adds deep chocolate flavor. The coconut milk adjusts texture, creating a scoopable ice cream that's vegan and paleo-friendly. It can be enjoyed immediately as soft serve or frozen for firmer slices.
Ingredients
- 4 banana frozen, large, ripe
- ⅓ to 1/2 cup coconut milk as needed, full-fat, canned
- 1/3 cup raw cacao powder
- sea salt optional, tiny pinch
Instructions
- Add everything to a high-powered blender or food processor and secure the lid.
- First blend on a lower speed to get everything to chop up and then blend on a high (to highest) speed, using your tamper (if you have a blender) to help mash everything to the blade for easy blending. Do this until the chocolate ice cream is completely combined, creamy, and there are no more chunks of banana.
- Either serve immediately for soft serve consistency or transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze until completely set up.
- When you’re ready to enjoy the ice cream, thaw it for a couple of minutes, scoop, and enjoy!
