Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 Tbsp butter softened at room temperature
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the 1 cup warm water, oil, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until the yeast is bubbly (approximately 10-15 minutes). Then stir in the beaten egg, softened butter and salt.
  3. With a stand mixer with a dough hook or by hand, add in the flour, 1/2 cup at a time until you have a soft dough that isn’t sticky (If your dough is still sticky after all the flour has been added then add in more flour 1 Tbsp at a time until the dough is no longer sticky).  Then knead by hand 10 minutes or 5 minutes with a stand mixer.
  4. Form the dough into 12 balls (I spray my hands with non stick spray so the dough does not stick to my hands when forming the balls). Place in a greased 9X13 pan and cover with parchment paper and a kitchen towel.
  5. Let the dough rest and rise for approximately 10 minutes.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or just until browned.
