This 90 Second Keto Bread is a quick, low-carb bread option using almond flour, egg white, and psyllium husk to create a single-serving bread suitable for keto diets. The brief microwave cooking forms a small loaf that can be toasted or fried for a crisp exterior and soft interior texture, serving as a convenient snack or light meal base.
Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 3 tablespoon almond flour or ground almonds ***see notes
- ¼ teaspoon psyllium husk powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ tablespoon water
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a fork.
- Grease a 5 x 5 inch container with butter (olive oil or coconut oil also work) and fill in the bread dough.
- Microwave 90 seconds on high.
- Release from the container and toast, grill or pan-fry until golden brown.
Notes
- This bread contains about 6g net carbs per serving and makes a single portion.
- If using superfine almond flour, increase water to 1 tablespoon to adjust batter consistency.
- Add a pinch of salt to the batter to enhance flavor if desired.
