Air Fryer Baby Potatoes

An easy and delicious potato side dish in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds (680g) baby potatoes washed and cut in half
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
  2. Cut the baby potatoes in half lengthwise and place them into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the oil, Italian seasoning, and salt and mix until the potatoes are well coated.
  4. Place the potatoes into the air fryer basket and cook for 15 - 20 minutes, shaking the basket about every 5 minutes.
  5. Cook until golden in color and the potatoes pierce easily with a fork.

Notes

  • Preheat your air fryer according to the manufacturer's instructions. 
  • Cut potatoes in half lengthwise. 
  • Baby potatoes can vary in size. You may want to leave very small potatoes whole, and you may find it necessary to cut larger potatoes into quarters. 
  • Evenly sized potato pieces will cook more evenly. 
  • Toss the potatoes in a large bowl to coat them in the seasoning and oil blend. 
  • Add potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer. 
  • No additional oil is needed while air frying baby potatoes. 
  • Shake the basket halfway or every 5 minutes so the potatoes cook evenly. 
  • Potatoes will pierce easily with a fork when they are cooked through. 
  • The skins of the potatoes will be golden brown in color. 
  • Air fryers all cook differently, so adjust the cooking time accordingly.
