Air Fryer Breaded Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in pork chops 1 inch thick
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoon pork rub or another seasoning - see notes
  • Spray oil

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel.
  2. Put the egg in one bowl and combine the yolk and white. Put the bread crumbs in another bowl.
  3. Season the chops with the spice mixture.
  4. Dip a pork chop in the egg mixture. Then dip it into the breadcrumbs, making sure to thoroughly coat it. Continue until all the meat is breaded.
  5. Preheat air fryer at 380 degrees F for 2 minutes.
  6. Spray the coated pork chops with a light coating of cooking spray. Place them in the air fryer basket, ensuring there is room for the air to circulate.
  7. Air fry at 380 degrees F for 12-15 minutes, flipping them over after 6 minutes.
  8. They are done when they reach 145 degrees F internally.
  9. Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving for the juiciest pork chops.

Notes

  • This recipe will work fine with boneless pork chops, although they might need 2 minutes less cooking time.

  • Seasoning variations:
  • Use 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder if you don't have a spice rub.
  • Use 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning for an Italian-flavored dish.
  • Buy seasoned Italian breadcrumbs and just season the meat with a little bit of salt and black pepper.

  • For even cooking, try to get meat that is all the same thickness.
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer. If you don't have a large air fryer, cook in batches.
