Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets Recipe
This recipe yields crispy chicken nuggets coated in a gluten-free ranch seasoning and breadcrumb mixture, cooked quickly in an air fryer. The coating combines gluten-free baking flour, ranch dressing powder, and bread crumbs for a flavorful crust, while a milk and olive oil dip ensures moisture and adherence. Cooking at 400°F produces tender interior chicken with a crisp exterior, making it practical for quick home snacks or meals without deep-frying.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast boneless, skinless
- 1 packet Ranch dressing mix 1 tablespoon powder, gluten free
- 1/4 cup gluten free baking flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or melted butter)
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2/3 cup bread crumbs gluten free
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into 1 inch cubes. Set out three bowls. Bowl 1: Combine the powdered ranch dressing mix and gluten free baking mix. Bowl 2: Mix the oil and milk together, whisk well. Bowl 3: Place the gluten free bread crumbs in the third bowl.

- Work in two batches. Dip half the chicken pieces in the gluten free baking mix. Then dunk them in the oil and milk mixture. Finally dip the pieces in the gluten free bread crumbs.
- Lay the chicken nuggets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 7 minutes.
- Remove from the basket and repeat with the remaining chicken pieces.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time between 6 to 9 minutes per batch depending on your air fryer model for best results.
- This recipe can be made using regular wheat flour and bread crumbs if gluten-free is not required.
