Air Fryer Crumpets
Air Fryer Crumpets are such an easy way to cook them and this recipe is topped with cheese for total comfort food.

Ingredients
- 2 Crumpets
- 1 egg large
- 40 g mature cheddar grated
Instructions
- Whisk 1 Egg in a bowl and dip 2 Crumpets in to soak the egg up.
- Put into the air fryer and cook at 180°C/350℉ for 2 minutes.
- Open the air fryer and sprinkle 40 g Mature cheddar over the crumpets.
- Put back in the air fryer and cook for a further 2 minutes.

Notes
- For a lower fat version of these you can use a reduced fat cheddar.
- Don't use pre-grated cheese as it has a coating on it to stop it all sticking together in the bag and it prevents it from melting as well.
- Make sure the crumpets are not overlapping in the air fryer. You need space between them to allow the air to circulate and for them to get nice and crispy.
- If you are looking for more of a golden brown colour, then air fry the crumpets for a minute or two longer.
