Ingredients

  • 1 pound potatoes about 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt I used pink himalayan salt, adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly cracked, adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Wash and cut the potatoes into 1/2 inch cubes.
  2. Transfer the potatoes to a bowl. Add the oil and seasonings. Toss them well, so they are all coated with the seasoning.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Add the seasoned diced potatoes to the air fryer and spread them in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).
  4. Air fry for 15-18 minutes for the perfect texture. Shake the basket at about 8 minutes.
In Oven
    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Transfer the potatoes to a large sheet pan. You can also add the olive oil and seasonsings on the sheet pan.
  2. Spread evenly so they do not overlap. Cook for 25-30 minutes. Flip every 10-15 minutes for even cooking.

Notes

  • Avoid Overcrowding: Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking. Cook the potatoes in batches to ensure they become crispy on all sides.
  • Serve Immediately: These potatoes are best enjoyed fresh, as they can soften once they cool down. Serve them right away for maximum crispiness.
  • Seasoning Ideas: For a flavorful twist, try onion powder, cumin powder, cajun seasoning, or curry powder. For curry-roasted potatoes, a combination of turmeric, cumin, and garam masala is a great option. For an extra zing, sprinkle Chili Lime Seasoning from Trader Joe's at the end. It adds a delicious kick!
  • Cheese Lovers: If you love cheese, add some grated Parmesan in the last 5 minutes of cooking for a cheesy, golden finish.
