Ingredients

Kitchen Gadgets:
  • Air Fryer
  • Round Biscuit Cutters
  • Rolling pin
Air Fryer Doughnut Hole Ingredients:
  • Bread Maker Doughnut Dough
  • 240 ml icing sugar
  • 75 ml whole milk
  • 1 Tsp vanilla essence
  • plain flour for rolling
  • Food colouring for glaze

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Remove your doughnut dough from the bread maker and roll out on a floured worktop. Add a little extra flour to the rolling pin to prevent it sticking. Using your biscuit cutters cut out the doughnut hole shapes. Roll into balls if you prefer.
  2. Load a batch of doughnut holes into the air fryer basket, making sure you don’t overcrowd. Cook for 6 minutes at 180c/360.
  3. Mix milk and icing sugar together in a bowl until you have a thin glaze. Add food colouring or separate into ramekins if doing different coloured doughnut glaze. Toss your just cooked doughnut holes in the glaze and then put to one side while the doughnuts cool.

Notes

  • Batching. You can use the leftovers from making a batch of air fryer doughnuts or make a bread maker batch just for doughnut holes. What we did was two batches of dough and used one for doughnuts and one for doughnut holes.
  • No Glaze. If you don’t want a doughnut glaze then I recommend sprinkling the doughnuts with icing sugar.
  • Bigger. If your doughnuts are smaller reduce the cook time from 6 minutes to 5 minutes. We did two batches one lot was the size of a smaller dinner roll and the others were the size of meatballs.
  • Thanks for reading our air fryer doughnut holes recipe on Recipe This. We have many more air fryer recipes for you to check out next. Though, our personal recommendation would be to try our air fryer cookies next. It shows you how to make the best soft chocolate chip cookies in the air fryer.
