Ingredients
- 2 lb filet mignon / beef tenderloin I prefer using filets of around 6-8oz/200-250g each
- 3-4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp steak seasoning
- 1 tsp salt If the seasoning mix you're using is very salty, you might not need more salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Drizzle the filets with olive oil then season with the seasoning mix, salt and pepper on both sides.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/205°C.
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket then air fry until done to your preference.
- Rare: Cook the filets for 3 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 50ºC / 122ºF.Medium-Rare: Cook the filets for 4 minutes per side until the internal temp is 52ºC / 125ºF.Medium: Cook the steaks for 5 minutes per side until the internal temp is 58ºC / 136ºF.Well-done: Cook the steaks for 6-7 minutes per side until the internal temp is 68ºC / 154ºF
- Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite steak side dishes.
