Air Fryer Fish Tacos
These Air Fryer Fish Tacos feature cod fillets seasoned with a blend of chili powder, oregano, garlic granules, paprika, cayenne, and cumin, cooked quickly in an air fryer for a tender, flavorful filling. Served in soft tortillas with coleslaw, fresh cilantro, jalapeños, and hot sauce, the tacos offer a combination of crispy edges and juicy fish that is both satisfying and convenient to prepare.
Ingredients
- 260 g cod fillets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.5 teaspoon chilli powder
- 0.5 teaspoon oregano dried
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic granules
- 0.5 teaspoon paprika
- 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 0.25 teaspoon cumin
- 0.25 teaspoon salt sea salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper ground
- 4 tortillas soft
- 1 lime juice only
- 2 portion coleslaw
To serve
- cilantro fresh
- jalapeños
- hot sauce
Instructions
- Pat 260 g Cod fillets dry with kitchen paper. Brush with 1 tablespoon Olive oil and squeeze over the juice of 1 Lime.
- Sprinkle over 0.5 teaspoon Chilli powder, 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano, 0.5 teaspoon Garlic granules, 0.5 teaspoon Paprika, 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper, 0.25 teaspoon Cumin, 0.25 teaspoon Sea salt0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper and rub in with your hands.
- Cook the seasoned cod in your air fryer at 200°C/400°F for 8-10 minutes.
- Heat 4 Soft tortillas in a dry pan. Divide 2 portion Coleslaw between the tacos, add the flaked cod, Hot sauce, Jalapenos and Fresh coriander (cilantro).
Notes
- Pat cod fillets dry before seasoning to help spices adhere and promote even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even heat circulation.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent the fish from sticking and breaking apart.
- Avoid flipping the cod fillets during cooking to keep them intact unless fully cooked through.
- Use fillets of similar thickness to ensure consistent cooking time.
