Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings
Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings are cooked directly from frozen to achieve crispy skin and tender meat without added oil. Wings are cooked at high heat, turned halfway through, and can be seasoned or sauced after cooking. This method provides a convenient way to prepare wings quickly without thawing, perfect for snacks or meals.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken wings or 16 separated frozen chicken wings, uncut, whole, frozen
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to at 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
- Add the frozen chicken wings directly into the air fryer basket, making sure to spread them out evenly. You may have to cook them in 2 batches
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time.
- For crispier wings, give them a few more minutes but keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
- Remove from air fryer, season, or coat with the sauce of your choice before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation for crisping.
- Cook in batches if your air fryer is small to ensure even cooking.
- Turning wings at least once during cooking helps promote even browning.
- No extra oil is required as wings have enough fat for crisping.
- Cook a few minutes longer if a crisper texture is desired, watching to prevent burning.
- Use gluten-free wings if a gluten-free dish is required.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Each serving contains 6 WW Blue Plan SmartPoints.
