Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp softened butter , unsalted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1-2 tbsp freshly minced garlic cloves (or see recipe notes)
  • 4 tbsp Parmesan Cheese , freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp salt , omit the salt if you use salted butter
  • 1 french baguette , or bread of your choice

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened butter, minced garlic, olive oil, grated Parmesan, dried parsley and salt in a bowl.
  2. Slice the bread into slices of equal thickness – not too thin as they will burn.
  3. Mist the bread slices with a little oil so they crisp up evenly. Turn the bread slices over and spread with the garlic butter, generously!, edge to edge.
  4. Place the bread in the air fryer basket in a single layer, placed slightly apart. Air fry at 180°C (360°F) for 3-5 minutes or until the bread is crispy at the edges and the butter has melted. Serve immediately!

Notes

  • STORING AND FREEZING
  • You can store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a day and reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes until the bread crisps up again.
  • Better yet, place the buttered slices on a tray in a single layer and freeze. You can then pack them in a suitable container where they will keep for up to three months. To cook you can simply air fry garlic bread from frozen, adding a few minutes to the cooking time.
