Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs

Air fryer hard-boiled eggs are the easiest, mess-free way to cook your eggs. They take just 10 minutes and come out perfectly every time. I love them with toast or a simple sprinkle of salt!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 12 large eggs
  • Salt & pepper, hot sauce, or EBTB seasoning

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 270°F (135°C).
  2. Arrange eggs in a single layer in the air fryer, leaving a little space between each one.
  3. For hard-boiled eggs, cook for 14 - 16 minutes.
  4. While eggs cook, prepare an ice bath by filling a bowl halfway with ice and cold water.
  5. Carefully remove hot eggs from the air fryer using tongs or gently rolling them into the bowl.
  6. Let them sit for about 4-5 minutes so they cool (make peeling easier).
  7. Peel and serve! I love adding everything-but-the-bagel-seasoning. Store extras in an airtight container in the fridge for 5-7 days.

Notes

  • Any Quantity: You can air fry one egg or a dozen eggs. Just make sure you leave about a ½ inch of space between each egg in your air fryer.
  • Don’t Overcrowd the Air Fryer: It’s super important not to overcrowd your air fryer, or the eggs will not cook well. Leave about half an inch between each egg, enough space that they can roll around a little.
  • Cooking Temperature: If your air fryer doesn’t go below 300 degrees F, reduce the cooking time by 1-2 minutes.
  • Use an Ice Bath After Cooking: Weird, I know. But I highly recommend transferring the cooked eggs to an ice bath immediately after removing them from the air fryer to prevent overcooking.
  • Storing: For best results, store hard-boiled eggs peeled in the refrigerator for up to one week. It's best to store them peeled in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
  • Freezing: I DO NOT recommend it.
  • Reheating: I actually like eating hard-boiled eggs, but you can reheat them. For a quick reheat, microwave the cooked hard-boiled eggs for a few seconds. Be super careful not to overheat them because they can get a rubbery texture.
