Air Fryer Lamb Chops

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces (600g) lamb chops 6 average sized chops
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon onion salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • fresh lemon zest to taste

Instructions

  1. Use paper towels to pat dry the lamb chops and brush both sides with olive.
  2. Combine onion salt, garlic powder, ground coriander, oregano and lemon zest in a small bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning onto both sides of the chops.
  3. Place the lamb chops in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
  4. Cook for 7 minutes at 375 degrees F / 190 degrees C. Flip the chops and cook for an additional 7-8 minutes or until desired doneness is reached.

Notes

  • Washing lamb chops is not necessary, but you should pat them dry with paper towels before cooking. 
  • Use a silicone brush to brush on the olive oil. 
  • If desired, cover the lamb chops with plastic wrap after seasoning and let them rest for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors. 
  • Preheat air fryer so the lamb chops get a nice sear and crust on the outside. 
  • Cooking times may vary depending on the model of air fryer, the thickness of your lamb chops or your desired level of doneness. 
  • Place lamb chops in a single layer. You may need to air fry in batches so you don’t overcrowd the air fryer. 
  • Cooking beyond medium is not recommended and may bring out a gamey flavor. 
  • Always use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
  • Let the cooked lamb chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
