Air Fryer Ninja Foodi Hard-Boiled Eggs
This Air Fryer Ninja Foodi Hard-Boiled Eggs method uses controlled low-temperature air frying to cook eggs evenly without water. The eggs maintain a firm, fully cooked white and a set yolk while being easy to peel, achieved by cooking at 250°F for about 16-17 minutes, then rapidly cooling in an ice bath before peeling.
Ingredients
- 10 egg or as many as you would like to make
Instructions
- Place the air fryer basket, trivet, or rack in the cooking pot and place the eggs on top, without stacking them. Set the temperature to 250°F degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 120°C) and time to 16 or 17 minutes, then air fry (see notes).
- Once the cooking time is over, use a large kitchen spoon to transfer the eggs to a bowl filled with ice-cold water (or an ice water bath, if you have some ice cubes in your freezer).
- Allow the eggs to cool for about 5-10 minutes before peeling. Once cooled, crack the bottom part of the egg using a spoon and peel. Season with some salt and pepper or with your preferred seasonings and serve!
Notes
- Cooking times vary by desired firmness: 13 minutes for soft-boiled, 16-17 minutes for hard-boiled at 250°F.
- You can cook hard-boiled eggs faster at 300°F for 11-12 minutes if preferred.
- Air fryer wattage affects cooking time; most models require 13-15 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
- Place eggs in a single layer without stacking for even cooking.
- Preheating the air fryer is not necessary for this method.
- After cooking, cool eggs in ice water to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
- Carefully crack the bottom of eggs with a spoon to help with peeling.
