Air Fryer Pork Chops

Air Fryer Pork Chops are boneless chops coated with a seasoned blend of almond flour, Parmesan cheese, paprika, Italian seasoning, and Creole seasoning, then cooked in an air fryer for a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Sprayed with cooking spray for even browning, these chops cook quickly and offer a flavorful crust without deep frying. They can be paired with various sides, making them adaptable for different meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops that are 0.5 lbs (240g) each, boneless
  • 1/3 cup almond flour or regular flour if not low carb
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp creole seasoning or ground coriander, or Cajun seasoning
  • cooking spray

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180C / 350F.
  2. Mix together almond flour, Parmesan cheese, paprika, Herbes de Provence, Creole or other seasoning.
  3. Lightly spray both sides of the pork chops with a calorie-controlled cooking spray (or if not following a calorie-controlled diet, rub with olive oil).
  4. Cover both sides of the pork chops with the coating mix and place chops in the air fryer basket. Make sure the pork chops are not touching.
  5. Cooking can be anytime between 8-12 mins, depending on the thickness of pork chops. Mine took 9 mins. When cooking these the first time, I recommend starting with 8 mins and then checking for doneness.

Notes

  • When cooking pork chops in the air fryer for the first time, start with the lower end of the cooking time range and check for doneness before increasing time.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure pork reaches an internal temperature of 63C (145F) for safe consumption.
  • Arrange pork chops in the air fryer basket so they do not touch, allowing even air circulation and a crisp coating.
  • The seasoning mix provided can coat four pork chops, but using all on just two chops results in a more heavily seasoned crust.
  • Serve with air-fried vegetables or instant pot sides like applesauce or baked potatoes for a complete meal.
