Ingredients

  • 3 potato medium
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian spices
  • 1 garlic

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Wash the potatoes under running water and dry them well; you can also peel them if you prefer. Slice the potatoes on a cutting board with a sharp knife (1/4-inch).
  2. Soak the potatoes in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least half an hour.
  3. After the soaking time has passed, rinse the potatoes and dry them with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. Transfer the potato rounds to a bowl and season them with crushed garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian spices. Mix well so that all the potatoes are covered with the oil.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F for 2 minutes.
  6. Place the potatoes in the basket of the air fryer without overlapping them.
  7. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking them halfway through cooking.
  8. Serve hot with a pinch of salt on top.

Notes

  • Don't overcrowd the fryer basket; you may not get super crispy potatoes.
  • Always soak the potatoes in cold water. The cold water removes excess starch and makes the potato crispier.
  • Cut potato slices into equal sizes for optimal cooking.
  • Don't cut the potatoes too thinly, as this recipe is not for potato chips.
