Ingredients

  • 1 large or 2 medium-sized sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Everything but the Bagel Spices or your favorite spices *see notes

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Wash the sweet potatoes. Peeling is optional.
  2. Cut them in half lengthwise. Put one of the halves flat on a cutting board and slice into wedges about ¼ inch thick. Repeat with the other half. Pat the sweet potato pieces dry with paper towels.
  3. Put the wedges in a medium bowl. Add the oil and the spices and mix everything together.
  4. Place the sweet potato wedges in the air fryer basket. You need to cook them in a single layer, so you might have to cook them in 2 to 3 batches.
  5. Close the air fryer and cook at 370 ˚F for 10-15 minutes, turning halfway through cooking. The exact cooking time will depend on how thick they are. They are done when they start to look wrinkled with brown edges.
  6. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch dressing, ketchup, or BBQ sauce.

Notes

  • Soaking the wedges in cold water for 15-30 minutes is optional. It will reduce the amount of starch in the slices, so they are slightly crispier.
