Air Fryer Tuna Steak

Enjoy a taste of the Mediterranean with this air fryer tuna steak recipe. This air fryer tuna is perfectly cooked and served with marinated cherry tomatoes.

Air Fryer Tuna Steak Recipe Ingredients:
  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 125 g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 Tsp basil
  • 1 Tsp thyme
  • 1 Tsp oregano
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Half the cherry tomatoes and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and basil.
  2. Season tuna steaks with salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme and load into the air fryer basket. Place cherry tomatoes in the gaps.
  3. Cook for 7 minutes at 190c/380f. After 7 minutes check to see if the tuna steak is cooked. If not cook for a further 2 minutes on the same temperature. Then follow this process if your tuna steaks are really thick.
  4. Then serve the tuna steaks with the cherry tomatoes for a quick light lunch.

Notes

  • Seasoning. Its best to keep it simple with tuna steak as it’s all about the flavour of the tuna. Season with salt and pepper, then add a little oregano and thyme.
  • Time. The tuna steak cook time is approximately 7 minutes. But if you have a thicker tuna fillet then add an extra 2 minutes.
