Notes
- Find turkey wings with the other poultry in your local grocery store or check with your butcher.
- Turkey wings are usually sold whole, so you will want to remove the wing tip and separate the flat and the drum.
- Freeze the wing tips to use for making stock.
- Pat dry with paper towels before adding the seasoning rub.
- Leave space between the wings while cooking to allow the air to circulate.
- If necessary, cook in batches.
- For best results, preheat your air fryer.
- Lightly spritz the air fryer basket with cooking spray or olive oil to prevent the turkey wings from sticking.
- Always check for doneness with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees F / 74 degrees C when inserted into the thickest part of the turkey wings.
- Once the air fryer turkey wings have reached temperature and are fully cooked, cook for five more minutes, if needed, to get super crispy skin.
- Different air fryers operate slightly differently. Air fryer cooking times are estimated, so it’s essential to check your food for doneness and adjust the cooking time as needed.
