Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (907g) turkey wings cut into flats and drummettes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a small bowl, combine the spices with oil and mix to form a paste.
  2. Rub the herb paste on the wings, thoroughly coating with the mixture.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F / 180 degrees C.
  4. Place the wings into the air fryer basket and air fry for 30-40 minutes, flipping over halfway through the cooking time.
  5. Check for doneness using a meat thermometer. When the wings have reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees F / 74 degrees C, remove them from the air fryer and serve.

Notes

  • Find turkey wings with the other poultry in your local grocery store or check with your butcher.
  • Turkey wings are usually sold whole, so you will want to remove the wing tip and separate the flat and the drum.
  • Freeze the wing tips to use for making stock.
  • Pat dry with paper towels before adding the seasoning rub.
  • Leave space between the wings while cooking to allow the air to circulate.
  • If necessary, cook in batches.
  • For best results, preheat your air fryer.
  • Lightly spritz the air fryer basket with cooking spray or olive oil to prevent the turkey wings from sticking.
  • Always check for doneness with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees F / 74 degrees C when inserted into the thickest part of the turkey wings.
  • Once the air fryer turkey wings have reached temperature and are fully cooked, cook for five more minutes, if needed, to get super crispy skin.
  • Different air fryers operate slightly differently. Air fryer cooking times are estimated, so it’s essential to check your food for doneness and adjust the cooking time as needed.
