  • 2 cups unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups mini semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup almonds chopped

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Fill a pot with butter, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture turns amber and reaches 300°F (150°C).
  2. Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined baking pan. Sprinkle the chocolate evenly over the top and allow it to sit until slightly melted; then use a spatula to smooth the chocolate. Top evenly with almonds, pressing gently so the nuts adhere to the chocolate.
  3. Refrigerate until set. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Store the toffee in an airtight container.
