Ingredients
- ¼ kg beef sirloin/ tenderloin cut into thin slices
- 2 tbsps soy sauce
- ¼ tsp ground pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion sliced
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 3 cups ampalaya seeds removed and sliced
- ¼ cup oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp butter/ margarine
- salt to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine beef, soy sauce, pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well. Marinateuntil ready to use.
- In a wok or wide pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add marinated beef (without marinade) and fry for 2-3 mins on each side or until lightly charred. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add onion and garlic. Cook until limp and aromatic.
- Lower heat and add ampalaya. Cook for about 30 seconds.
- Return beef to the pan. Add oyster sauce, remaining marinade (if any), and butter. Stir until ampalaya and beef are evenly coated. Cover until cooked. Season with salt to taste (if needed).
- Remove from heat. Serve and enjoy!
