Anti-Inflammatory Pineapple Smoothie

This pineapple smoothie is a creamy, refreshing tropical treat with great health benefits. With anti-inflammatory health benefits from adding turmeric along with pineapple, mango, banana, orange juice, and Greek yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple cubes
  • 1 cup frozen mango cubes
  • ½ cup frozen banana
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric paste frozen
  • ¾ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¾ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
For Garnish –
  • fresh pineapple wedges
  • chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Cut pineapple into cubes, mango, and banana. Place in separate zip lock bags to freeze. Freeze for about 4 to 6 hours or freeze overnight.
  2. Squeeze out fresh orange juice just before you plan to make a pineapple smoothie.
  3. Add freshly squeezed orange juice, frozen fruits, turmeric paste, and Greek yogurt to a powerful blender. Blend until creamy and smooth.
  4. Optional step - for extra sweetness add honey to the smoothie.
  5. Pour smoothie into serving glasses or bowl. Sprinkle some chia seeds. Place the pineapple wedge on the side of the smoothie glass and serve immediately.
