Notes
- Aperol: A bright orange, bitter Italian liqueur with a low (11%) alcohol content with notes of orange peel and herbs.
- Yield: This recipe makes 1 cocktail.
- Glassware: The Aperol Spritz is traditionally made in a stemmed wine glass. For a more modern look, choose an angled wine glass.
- Big batch: To make a batch of 8 cocktails, combine 24 ounces (3 cups) Prosecco, 16 ounces (2 cups) Aperol, and 8 ounces (1 cup) soda water in a pitcher. Have ice, glassware, and garnishes on hand so guests can help themselves.
- Spritz Veneziano: A group of wine-based aperitif cocktails made with prosecco, digestive bitters, and soda water, of which the Aperol Spritz is one. Other Spritz Veneziano cocktails feature Campari or Select liqueurs.
