Apple Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups apples peeled and finely chopped

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Fold in chopped apples.
  4. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
