Ingredients
- 5 carrots (peeled)
- 2 apples (cored)
- water
Instructions
- Place a steamer basket in a large sauce pot and pour in just enough water to see through the basket.
- Bring the water to a boil by placing a lid on the pot.
- Cut carrots into about 1 inch chunks.
- Once water has come to a boil, remove lid and add apples and carrots.
- Cover and let steam until tender (about 20 minutes or so.)
- Place tender carrots and apples into a food processor or blender and puree until smooth. Add water until you’ve reached your desired consistency. (I added about 1 cup.)
