Apple Cider Sangria Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 1 orange
  • 1 pear
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 star anise pods
  • 750 ml red wine 1 bottle; we used Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2 cups apple cider

Instructions

  1. Cut the apple, orange, and pear into thin slices.
  2. In the bottom of a pitcher, toss the fruit slices with the brown sugar. Let sit for at least an hour at room temperature to release juices.
  3. Add in the cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise pods, bottled wine, and apple cider. Stir well. 
  4. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
