Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 /4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 /4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 /2 cup grated apple about 1 medium, drained
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray an 8x8 baking pan or large pie plate with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add in egg, vanilla, salt, all-purpose flour and oats. Mix just until well-combined. Stir in grated apple and apple pie spice. Spread into prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake 20-25 minutes until set in the middle and lightly golden brown. Cool on a rack until completely cooled before cutting into pieces.
