  • 2 drops Food Coloring red or green
  • ½ cup (4 ounces /115 grams) butter at room temperature
  • 5 pretzels broken
  • 1 cup (8 ounces/240 grams) granulated sugar
  • 1 medium egg at room temperature
  • ¼ cup (2 ounces / 60 grams) milk
  • 1½ cup apple roughly 1 large apple, gala, grated
