  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 drops red / green food coloring
  • ½ cup (4 ounces /115 grams) butter, at room temperature
  • 5 pretzels, broken
  • 1 cup (8 ounces/240 grams) granulated sugar
  • 1 medium egg at room temperature
  • ¼ cup (2 ounces / 60 grams) milk
  • 1½ cup grated gala apples roughly 1 large apple
