Apple Nachos

This caramel apple nachos are the perfect, easy snack everyone will love! Simple, thin apples slices are drizzled with caramel and topped with chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 4 Gala apples or other red apple
  • 4 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ¼ cup Caramel sauce
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Slice the apples into thin slices and place them in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle the lime juice over the slices, toss and let sit for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Place the apple slices on a plate and drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Notes

  • Use any other favorite apples like macintosh, cortland, honeycrisp, etc.
  • Fresh lime juice is best but you can use bottled if that is all you have.
  • Add chocolate sauce instead of or in addition to the caramel sauce.
  • Warm a little peanut butter or other nut butter in a microwave safe bowl for about 20-30 seconds and drizzle it over the apples.
  • Make this easy homemade caramel sauce.
  • Use lemon juice or apple juice instead of lime juice.
  • Lime juice is used to help keep the apples from turning brown.
