Apple Pecan Charoset
Apple Pecan Charoset is a chilled, slightly sweet mixture traditionally associated with Passover, made from chopped apples combined with red wine, honey, toasted pecans, and warm spices. The apples are quickly chopped and tossed with lemon juice to prevent browning, then mixed with the wine and honey to infuse flavor and moisture. Toasted pecans add crunch and nuttiness, while ground cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg bring warmth and depth. Chilling before serving allows the flavors to meld.
