Apple Pie Bites Recipe

These delightful air fryer apple pie bites are an easy dessert idea. Cinnamon apple filling is wrapped in a flaky biscuit crust and there are only 5 simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 can jumbo biscuits five count
  • 3/4 cup apple pie filling apple cuts into small pieces (see notes)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Put the apple pie filling in a bowl and use a knife to slice through the apples to make the pieces smaller.
  2. Divide each biscuit into two parts.
  3. Roll each piece of dough into a ball, then flatten them to ¼ inch thick.
  4. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of filling into the middle of the circle of dough.
  5. Pinch the dough together around the filling. Repeat for all the dough.
  6. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or put a piece of parchment paper on the bottom. Place the bites in the air fryer basket, keeping about 1 inch between them.
  7. Air fry at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.
  8. While they cook, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.
  9. Melt the butter in another bowl and set aside.
  10. When they are golden brown, remove the apple bites and let them cool slightly.
  11. Dip each apple bite in the melted butter and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
  12. Let them cool on a wire rack for a little longer.

Notes

  • I like to use the flaky-style biscuits, so you can peel the layers apart.
  • You can use apple pie spice instead of cinnamon.
  • The apple slices in the pie filling are large for this recipe. So put it in a bowl and use a knife to dice them smaller. Don't try to cut the filling on a cutting board; it will get very messy.
  • Don't overstuff your apple pie bombs since it can lead to a big mess in the air fryer.
