Apple Strudel with Brie
Warm caramelized apples & creamy brie cheese are wrapped up in a puff pastry for an easy & delicious apple strudel recipe, great for breakfast, an appetizer or dessert!

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 apples core removed and thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 oz Brie cheese
- 1 puff pastry sheet thawed
- 1 egg + 1 tsp water whisked together to make an egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Place the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Once the butter has melted, add the apples and brown sugar.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the apples are caramelized.
- Roll the puff pastry sheet out onto a large piece of parchment paper.
- To make the braided top, slice a triangle from the bottom of each side of the dough, then slice ½ inch diagonal lines up each side of the pastry.
- Place the brie cheese in the middle of the puff pastry, top with the caramelized apples.
- Lay the rectangular end of the puff pastry over the filling, then begin on one side, and lay one strip of dough over the filling, then alternate laying a strip of dough from the other side, then alternate back and forth, back and forth, over the filling.
- Once the entire puff pastry is wrapped up, transfer it on the parchment paper to a baking sheet.
- Brush the egg wash over the puff pastry.
- Place into the oven to bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
